“Comete" Kinship Belgium September 14, 2011 Dear Members of « Comete », Dear Friends, Each year we celebrate the Memory of the Escape Line « Comete » and of every member and satellite « Helpers » who sacrified themselves for the safe return to Great Britain of downed allied airmen. The chosen date falls near October 20, when eleven Comete members were shot in 1943 in the 'Tir National'. This year, the week-end of 22-23 October will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Comete Line which functioned from August 1941 till September 1944. We hope to see many of you attending the different events and ceremonies of this week-end, grown into a gathering of friends. You will find on this website a « Program » and a « Registration Form » which should be returned completed with your choices of attendance. Please send this before October 8 at the latest. Payments preferably made in advance by Bank transfer to 'Comete Kinship' account system IBAN : BE27 0688 9148 3173 and BIC : GKCCBEBB. Otherwise you can pay at our 'Comete Kinship' secretarial desk upon arrival. The hotel arrangements are not included in our organisation. For your information, most of our foreign participants stay at the IBIS-Sainte Catherine or next door NOVOTEL-Tour Noire (departure point of our coach), or in the surroundings in the centre of Brussels.
